Summer's nearly here in southern hemisphere and it's time to bring out those sunshine tunes to get us in the mood. We all know The Shins are about to release Wincing The Night Away soon, (everyones probably already heard it from the leaks all over the internet) as well as Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer? by Of Montreal who I posted about a while back. But I'm throwing in a new band from sunny California, The Little Ones who released their first EP "Sing Song" earlier this year. Smooth soft melodies and catchy singalongs are what The Little Ones are all about; think The Unicorns meets Voxtrot and The Shins. The name may suggest it but this isn't no twee record with child-like instruments so don't expect to go all mushy on it but whatever you choose to do, put on a smile. Download the songs below (perferably buy the EP), burn them onto CD compilation, give it to a friend for a summer party or play it in the car on the way to the beach.
