Page France are from Maryland, United States. A band I merely took notice of about a year ago until their release of "Hello, Dear Wind" this year. Intrigued by soft simple chords and lightly taps of the glockenspiel, I was compelled to listen to what Page France had to offer. "Hello, Dear Wind" is an album of 14 blissful compositions, each specially crafted to illustrate a story. It’s a perfect album to add to a summer's collection; simply just relax to. If you like the sounds of bands such as Okkervil River, Sufjan Stevens, Kite Flying Society or just everything there is about folk-pop you will not be disappointed by one of the exceptional albums of 2006. Speaking on same topic here; as we get closer to the end of this year, it's nearly time to bring out that list of albums of the year. Here at Off The Record team, we are all doing our best (despite our busy lives) narrowing it down to a smaller list of what was initially a countless list. This list will probably be put up by the end of November so hopefully you guys will be able to vote. Whether or not I am to find a good place to hold polls, we'll see about that.
