I always fall for romantic lyrics, no doubt. Jens Lekman is a genius in such fields. A pop star in his native Sweden, everything about his music is heartfelt and literal. Strongly reminiscent of Stephin Merritt of The Magnetic Fields, he combines gentle guitar, humorous samples and light, gorgeous melodies layered over delicate arrangements. Such humbleness and wonder exists in every one of his songs, it never, ever falters, while evoking feelings of warmness.
