I Heart Hiroshima
Explosive and reckless garage punk trio I Heart Hiroshima from Brisbane, Australia keep surprising me in many ways. Their raw blend of boy/girl "far-from-short-of-breath" one liner shout outs and repetitive "bass-less" hooks and riffs is what draws me towards their music but their latest single"Punks" from their upcoming album "Tuff" does far more than that. In my opinion, this band just gets better and better with each record.
Having missed out on playing at SXSW earlier this year, I Heart Hiroshima played at this year's Essential Festival on Anzac Day are surely one of Australia's growing bands. Just announced is their support for one of my favourites; The Mint Chicks who will be playing a handful of shows around the country early next month. Details can be found at myspace.
